Established in 1837 by Presbyterians of North Carolina, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ is a liberal arts college with a rich history and heritage. We've preserved the traditions that make the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ experience unique, while evolving to meet the needs of learners in an interconnected and rapidly changing world.

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½'s close proximity to the city of Charlotte provides opportunities for civic engagement, professional growth, and recreation. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students complete 73,000 hours of community service in the greater Charlotte community each year, and ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students continue investing in their community after graduation.

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ offers more than 200 student organizations, rich and robust arts programming, 21 Division I athletic teams, and a multitude of interests spanning culture, politics, entertainment, religion, diversity, and civic engagement.
